Launching a new Data Tool for Foodservice

A new quarterly data subscription

Food Industry Foresight is launching the AFS Barometer, a new subscription service, containing all of the key, top line data insights for the Australian Foodservice Market.

Building on our long‑standing AFS market intelligence program, the AFS Barometer will bring together proprietary foodservice insights and key economic indicators that impact the foodservice market, into a single quarterly view. The service is designed to help commercial, marketing, strategy, and leadership teams understand how demand, costs, labour, and outlet numbers are shifting across the Australian eating‑out market – and what that means for their business plans.

It includes some of our proprietary insights such as:

  • Foodservice Market Growth Forecast by Sector, Channel and Product Category
  • The Foodservice Dollar
  • Foodservice Market Size
  • Foodservice Outlet Numbers
  • Foodservice Operators Confidence Index by channel
  • Number of Meals Served by sector & channel

It also includes over 15 official economic indicators and statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Annual Subscription fee will be $82 per month (Excl. GST)

At a low $82 per month, billed annually in advance, this is great value. The service is delivered via an online, interactive dashboard with downloadable graphs and tables, as well as quarterly commentary in PDF format.

Subscribers will receive access to a visual dashboard updated every quarter, along with concise commentary highlighting what has changed and key implications for suppliers into Foodservice. The Barometer is intended to support strategy, budgeting, sales planning, and customer conversations with consistent, independent evidence rather than scattered data points and anecdotes.

Organisations interested in early access or a preview of the new service are encouraged to contact Food Industry Foresight to register their interest.
