As technology in the hospitality sector continues to evolve, the restaurant experience is changing with it. The advent of technologies such as QR codes and robot waiters has some concerned the humanity is being stripped from hospitality.

In this episode, The Conversation Hour team dines out with experts in the field to gauge where the industry is heading.

Rod is a senior executive with an international career having lived and worked in Australia, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia and the UK. He has a 40 year career in management, marketing, sales, and project management in several industries including banking, IT, printing, manufacturing and services.

In his early career he worked at one of IBM’s Software Laboratories in Europe developing application software to solve critical business problems and since that time has continued to be involved in the application of technology and innovation in commercial applications. 

For the past 10 years, as a Director of Food Industry Foresight, Rod has focused on market insights and trends in the Foodservice Industry.
