Just had my first taste of one of the new plant based meat substitutes at the National Restaurant Association trade show in Chicago.
What a surprise! Much better than I expected. I think the look on my face speaks for itself.
I just tried the Beyond Foods Burger and it was amazingly like real meat, both in flavour and texture. They are already shipping to many countries including Australia where Lord of the Fries is the first restaurant offering the Beyond Burger manufatcured from protein extracted from plants.
